Qué harás

Over 3 and a half hours, we will experience life in this very beautiful & fascinating part of the city and visit several food-joints that you won't find in typical guidebooks!
We'll start with the famous sugar dripping Jalebis and an insight into how they're made. Then we'll navigate our way through the quaint narrow lanes to reach a long-forgotten 17'th century 'Haveli' (Mansion) ruined but still reminiscing the Mughal era.
Now we'll enter into the most colourful & buzziest 'Bazaar' of Old Delhi to visit a 90-years-old shop dedicated exclusively to 'Khurchan' (a mouth-watering dessert prepared from fresh buffalo's milk). After a little exploration of the beautiful Bazaar, we'll taste different varieties of Parathas in the famous 'Parathe Wali Gali'.
Now it's time to involve ourselves in the community kitchen of an ancient Sikh Gurudwara after which we will explore Asia's largest spice market and taste a combination of the best 'Chole Bhature' (a famous North Indian dish) and 'Lassi' (buttermilk) prepared in Old Delhi.
We'll experience the tranquility offered by a quick stroll in the Fatehpuri Masjid after the craziness of Chandni Chowk and at last visit, a secret rooftop with the best panoramic views of the area & click some marvelous photos.
The exquisite flavor of the food and delicate aroma of the spices will surely blow away your mind!

This is a terrific tour, and highly recommended. Seasoned Delhi-ites Ashu and Himanshu introduced us to a range of places and dishes that we simply wouldn’t have found on our own. These included a ruined haveli and a rooftop with incredible views, as well as stops at their favourite food-stalls and canteens (the food was a cut above, especially the jalebi and lassi). Both are knowledgeable and affable guides, well versed in the history, architecture and culture of Old Delhi — and very good company.

Don't hesitate about booking this tour! Himanshu and Ashu were so friendly and knowledgeable and the places they take you would be impossible to find as a visitor to Delhi. We had an amazing afternoon walking the tiny streets of the markets, eating delicious food (they will cater to your needs) and hearing about the extensive history of Old Delhi. Very factual and informative, but also so much fun to be shown around by locals who are enthusiastic and really want to make sure you have a good experience. They also gave advice about many parts of visiting India, not just Delhi, so all around 10/10 and I'd even do the same tour again just to hang out with them! :)

What a great day in Delhi! The host is very passionate, knowledgeable and great story teller. His English is great. He tailors experiences to your needs, and hand-picks places to visit. We had to cut our tour a bit short due to out flight. The host offered we come back for free, which was very kind. If you are having second thoughts about this tour - no need to worry. You will have a terrific time.

This was an intense experience and hugely rewarding. The pair acted as a double act to keep us informed, safe and involved. The market is extremely busy and you are stepping into and walking around hundreds of years of continuous trading. As guides these men are professional and thoughtful for guests. They never rushed us and ran 2 hours over time to broaden our experience. Leaving a generous tip was an easy option to recognise their efforts.

The area of Delhi we experienced was Chandni Chowk, an area of open and semi open bazaars that seems like the soul of Delhi. It is unmissable. It is also overwhelming. I couldn’t be more grateful to Himanshu and his partner-guide for helping us navigate something that, for a westerner, is daunting. The noise, the narrow alleys, the constant threat of being run over, the crush of people, the temples, the customs, the side streets, shops and flavors. I honestly loved it, every minute, even though I became claustrophobic after three hours and needed to find an exit. I mean, seriously, I was filled up and couldn’t experience any more. Luckily the guides were totally helpful and understanding. I mean that. We were turned around and couldn’t read google maps but Himanshu led us out to the nearest curb, across some serious traffic, trying to maintain his professionalism the whole time, and he even helped us call the cab we’d arranged ahead of time. I reached an understanding. This area of Delhi is probably no big deal to a local, but a week later, I’m still processing the sensations. It was that exotic, and that distinct. Highly recommended. I mean, you’re in Delhi. Get with the city using someone you can trust.
