Centrally located behind Front Street, Bamburgh, this stylish, refurbished (2016), two bedroom apartment sleeps 4 people. It's coastal-inspired interior extends to the twin bedroom, double bedroom, kitchen/lounge and double shower.

Located in a quiet, residential street yet only a few steps from the centre of the village, beach, play park, castle, shops, restaurant and cricket pitch, the apartment includes private parking.

Ideal for families, couples, walkers, bird watchers and golfers.

WiFi - PLEASE BE AWARE BAMBURGH IS A WIFI BLACKSPOT AND IS NOT AVAILABLE AT OUT PLACE.
We hope to have created a relaxing space for you to enjoy and get away from it all. Bamburgh is in rural.Northumberland and is a WiFi blackspot and therefore we do not provide WiFi as it is so patchy. There is free WiFi next door at the Victoria Hotel and also at The Castle Inn but again, it is intermittent.

Towels
You will find bath and hand towels and a bath mat in the airing cupboard.

Appliances & facilities
Instructions for all appliances should be located under the sink. Other facilities; High chair, travel cot (please bring your own bedding for travel cot), plastic cutlery and crockery for younger children, hairdryer, DAB radio, Tassimo Vivy drinks maker (please provide your own pods), hoover, iron, ironing board.  For rainy days there is a Wii console and a selection of games. Please feel free to bring your own games. There are board games in the hall cupboard.   

TV/DVD
The TV is Freeview (sorry, no SKY!) and there is a DVD player built into the side of the television.
 
Hot water
Please note that hot water comes via an immersion tank and once the tank has been used you will need to wait for it to re-heat (which takes about 1 hour). The tank supplies enough hot water water for approximately 4 people to shower in a row – but if members of your party wish to linger, person number 4 may be cold!

Heating
The apartment is heated via panel heaters for immediate warmth.

Bedding 
Spare bedding – please let us know if you require extra bedding for the sofa bed or single mattress.
In the interests of the environment we would appreciate it if you could please leave any unused towels in the airing cupboard and turn down used beds to indicate if they have been slept in.

Refuse
At present there are no recycling arrangements at the apartment. Please dispose of all rubbish in one of the two large green wheelie bins behind the apartment in the car park.

Should you wish to, there is a recycling centre 4 miles away at North Sunderland. Continue down Ingram Road, and follow the signs for North Sunderland and Seahouses. The centre is on the right just before you enter North Sunderland.

There are a number of shops, pubs and restaurants in the village of Bamburgh.

General stores; There are two small general
 
The Pantry is in the middle of Front Street – it also serves ice cream, sandwiches and takeaway hot and cold drinks.
 
The nearest major supermarket is Co-Op in Seahouses. In Alnwick there is Sainsbury, Lidl and Aldi. There are no newspapers for sale in Bamburgh. The nearest place to purchase them is at the Co-Op in Seahouses or Waren Caravan and Camping.
 
Eating and drinking; The Potted Lobster – famed for its seafood, local Northumbrian fayre and friendly welcome. Booking recommended. (Limited opening hours out of season so please check.) There is an occasional wood fired pizza oven operating from the Walled Garden – please check for opening times.

Eating and drinking; There are three pubs, The Victoria Hotel, The Castle Inn and The Lord Crewe. The Castle Inn has a large beer garden.
 
There is a tea room, The Copper Kettle, on Front Street. The Wynding Well, also on Front Street, serves sandwiches, ice cream, scones and coffee to eat in or take away - open seasonally.

Cashpoints; The nearest free to use cashpoint is in Seahouses, 4 miles away. There is a Barclays Bank and also a cashpoint at the Coop there. There is a pay-to-use cashpoint at The Purdy Lodge petrol station beside the A1.
 
Petrol; The nearest petrol station is beside the A1 at the Bamburgh turn off beside The Purdy Lodge. It also has a pay-to-use cashpoint. There is also a petrol station just off the A1 at Alnwick and one in Seahouses.
