Parque
“Waimea Canyon is a long drive from up here in Princeville, but you won't regret going to see it! There are lookouts from the roads, lookouts requiring a bit of walking, as well as easy to moderate hikes to some gorgeous lookouts. We highly recommend spending a day on that side of the island and explore. It makes for a good activity to do on the same day as a boat tour of the Napali Coast line which also departs from that side. ”

“Caution: there is a very long and windy trail from the residential street down to the spot where Queen's bath is located. Do Not attempt this trail if it is or has rained. There are no rails or cement/gravel to protect you from sliding. This is not a safe trail for young children to try to navigate without parent supervision. You're encouraged to walk to this touristy spot from the resort, as parking is very limited. The resort may not provide directions.”

“Closing for renovations in April!!! Until then, best views around!! Terrific brunch or sunset-viewing spot! Lovely bar with patio seating overlooking the entirety of Hanalei Bay, Makana Mountain/Bali Hai...and along the coast toward the end of the road. Great pool bar and dining area steps from the sand, too! Plus, you can rent SUPs, surfboards & more seaside...or get a day pass to enjoy their full seaside pool experience! ”

“This is our favorite lookout on island. It is a lush green valley, with a ton of waterfalls when it rains. The only downside to this lookout is the clouds do block the view sometimes. It is really windy up here though and usually you can wait a few minutes and the clouds will open up for a great picture.”

“Kilauea light house is located up north in a very picturesque location. There are hundreds of white tailed birds on ridges surrounding the light house. Tours of the light house are offered but it is based on availability in the sign up sheet. Even if you are not able to get on a tour you will still still enjoy the scenic beauty of the place. There is a 5$ per person entrance fee and the place closes at 4 pm. There is a small gift store and a visitor center with information on the history of the light house. Very neatly maintained grounds. ”
