Best things to do in Mineápolis

Museo de arte
“Great view of the city. Walk across the bridge to the Loring Park. Read the John Ashberry poem. Look at the city from the sculpture garden (up, look at the skyline & the sky); see the native plants; go to the cafe on the 1st floor. All free. Cheap parking (quarters)”

Teatro
“The theatre, the theatre.....this is the theatre. The building is quite a feat to be enjoyed, with the long escalators; remeniscent of the Tate in London; to the overhanging deck where you can enjoy a drink and watch the river roll by. A truly enjoyable evening to be had.”

Baseball Stadium
“One of the best MLB stadiums in the country. Fairly wide open concourses, great views of downtown Minneapolis, nice range of standard ballpark food and better quality, local options (like Red Cow and Pizza Luce) make this a great way to spend part of a day even if you don’t watch much of the game. Pro tip - get the cheap seats and plan to walk around and hang out at the common areas with lots of places to still view the game.”

Football Stadium
“This is the first downtown Minneapolis stop and also where you can choose to ride the Green Line into St Paul or the Blue Line into Bloomington for the airport or MOA. Plenty of room to wait in comfort for whatever train you need. Usually it's very clean and well maintained.”

History Museum
“Must-see for the area, fascinating history of the Milling industry. Exhibits are fairly static so you may not want to go a second time, but do yourself a favor and spend 2 hours there to see the exhibits. Excellent Minnesota themed gift shop as well.”

“This is about as local old school original neighborhood corner bar food as it gets. President Obama made a stop here for the family JUCY LUCY - also featured on Guy Fierris diner and dives. Expect a line on weekends out the door. Burger and beer joint - excellent fries. Just 4 blocks away - can also get food to go but if they are busy probably won't answer the phone!”

“On the Mississippi river and Marshall St NE, with an awesome outdoor patio. For groups of up to 12, you may be able to call and get same day reservations here. Make an early reservation for the patio if possible (not in the winter of course...), and request to be seated on the edge. Start the night (or morning!!!) here with dinner (BLOODIES!!!!) and drinks on the river with your group! Walk or cab along Marshall St for any number of other unique local spots to enjoy beverages and bar fare. Lots of ways to enjoy this gem. It is pretty sweet.”

“They say its a country club for the "99%". In reality it's a fun place to grab food, drinks, play mini-golf, and ride on the little ferris wheel.”

“One of the few places where you can treat a birthday guy or gal to a gluten-free and/or dairy free slice of cake or tart that is already sitting in the display case waiting for you. With an espresso, expect to pay around $13. Customers order in line and then get a famous person placard instead of a number to set on the table so staff knows where to bring your food. Tending towards the fresh, kind of gourmet, the prices reflect that and you can easily spend $50 for 2 adults and a kid for breakfast. Their espresso is always good. Really all the food is good. I just balk at the prices for a full meal because I like cheap eats but on a day when I need dessert, this is my place.”
