Hiking starts right across the street, but don't miss the visitor's area just up the road. It's worth taking the self-guided tour or if you really want to learn about Grass Valley take the guided tour. The mansion and gardens are truly amazing as well!

We love this small but beautiful lake. We spend most our summer afternoons with the dogs and the patio boat on this lake. It's great for kayaks, canoes, paddleboards or just taking a dip!
They rent kayaks and paddleboards in the summer as well.

Scotts Flat Lake

This is our personal date night favourite. Not only do we love the food but the atmosphere is great. They also have a really cool bar with a good early evening music venue. Save room for dessert, the Maui Pie is out of this world...

This is a hidden gem and it's a really scenic 20-minute drive through the country. They have a great patio overlooking the apple orchard, a fruit stand, and when peaches are in the season they make the best peach milkshakes in the world! The open at 9:30 but they don't serve breakfast, nope....the open early for pie and coffee, then serve lunch and go home. We love it!
