Did you know how Amsterdam was build up? Museum is located in the centre of Amsterdam in a building which used to be an orphanage. Recommend for kids as well as there is a special part to see how the kids were living in the orphanage. Did you know that back in the days the water in Amsterdam was not drinkable and people also kids were drinking beer to flush their bite.

There are also a few nice cafes/ restaurants; Vondelpark 3, ‘t blauwe theehuis, de vondeltuin (next to a huge sandbox for kids). For kids there is a nice big playground with a shallow pool when temperature rises located in the middle of the park. There is also a cafe with a fairly large playground called Groot melkhuis.
