Superba, as the name indicates, is a block away from the house. It's got delicious freshly baked breads and breakfast baked goods. It's also a very popular spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Delicious food, loverly staff and super local!

Another fantastic food scene! Be prepared to wait, but worth it! STRONG coffee.. artisan baked goods and breakfast options. Really simple but delicious meals... open for dinner as well... but outdoor seating only! Their breakfast bialy sandwiches are my favorite!

If your walking down AK and want to drop in to a place for a sit down, this is a great spot! Lots of vegan options.. my favorite is their breakfast acai and coconut yogurt bowls with granola and fresh fruit!!

This is hands down one of the best quality, tasty, clean eating and creative Thai restaurants in all of LA! AND, it's vegan.. which will blow your mind because you will not miss a thing.
Satdha is close by but in Santa Monica. They don't deliver, and the restaurant itself it not very 'warm'... BUT, it's a great pick up option.. pick up and bring home! My favorites are beet Thai noodles, green curry, snap pea salad, pad thai :-)

This is a little gem right on the Penmar gulf course. You forget you are in the city because you are nestled right up against the trees and grass. Offers American style foods.. and I believe they have live music on Wednesday afternoons.

This is a mostly, if not all locals spot. A great feel for the local boardwalk scene (if you can handle seeing the reality of homelessness in CA in a safe and open setting) Many are old school artists and locals that are now living on the beach..

If you are a coffee snob then this is the spot. They are very serious about their pours. It's very close to the board walk so it's perfect for grabbing a cup of coffee and walking the Venice Beach board walk.

Visit the Historic Venice Canals with a coffee in hand!
Drive to XMarket - another Matthew Kenney spot - on 2524 Pacific Ave. Finding parking can be tough at times, but not always. The market opens at 8am and offers some breakfast items, coffee and basic essentials.
The market is on 26th Ave, walk over to 25th Ave and you will find the Venice Canals Beach Access Pass, which will put you onto Strongs Dr and the bridge to cross over :-)

Venice Walk streets (unique pedestrian only pathways)
There are 3 rows of walk streets walking distance from our house. (Nowita Place, Marco Place, and Amoroso Place.) They run from Lincoln down to Shell Ave and are easy to miss if you aren't looking. From our place, cross the street from Lincoln and either walk left or right and find the walk way before you hit the next street. When you hit Shell, walk across to Creasant Place which would be the final walk street that will lead you to Palm Blvd and from there to Abbot Kinney right near Gjelina.

Our favorite beach spot!
If you want a more quiet beach, away from the noise and large crowds, where mostly locals frequent… then take a short drive to Marina Del Rey! There is no boardwalk there and the houses are right on the sand. You will want to park on pacific avenue, south of Washington Blvd. Our favorite spot is Topsail. Just put “Topsail & Pacific” you will park anywhere eat there and walk to the beach. There isn’t a place a to eat, so pack snacks and water! There are lots of places to eat on Washington by pier!
