Disney Springs is free to visit and one of the few places at Walt Disney World where parking is also free. One of the places at Disney that locals favor. There is something for everyone in the way of shopping and restaurants. You’ll find nightlife and live music at House of Blues, Raglan Road and a few other spots. Dine-in theaters, a bowling alley and amphicar tours are just a few of the activities you can also find at Disney Springs.

If you have the time and you are interested in somewhat of an “old Florida” type experience then this is a place we recommend. Many don’t come to Central Florida with Gatorland as high on their list as most of the major attractions, but it’s a unique and fun place. Guaranteed to see alligators too if that is a box you want to check before you depart. Free parking.

A car is recommended as the best way to get around while you visit. Uber/Lyft are also easy to use in the area and a great way to get around parking fees at the major attractions. We have reliable Uber/Lyft contacts that we can pass along if you like.

Save on Parking Fees
Parking fees for major attractions can start at $20. If possible, you may want to consider using Uber/Lyft when you head to Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, etc. This will also save you lengthy walks across theme park parking lots.

On Disney property you will find that there are buses, gondolas, monorails and boat transportation at every turn. Once at Disney (on property as you may here it called locally), determine your destination and there is most certainly a way to get there with a little research. Additionally, traveling to and from a Disney hotel on Disney transportation doesn’t require a reservation of any type.

Whenever you hear someone say “on property” they’re referring to something being located at Walt Disney World. For example...Blizzard Beach is located on property.

Car Shows
There are nightly events at Old Town in Kissimmee for the car enthusiast. Friday night is “muscle car” night and Saturday is for classics. You may even see our ride there some nights. Other evenings are often dedicated to motorcycles, trucks and more. It’s located less than 10 miles away. Check their website for more information. MyOldTownUSA.com

Paying when you arrive at the gate will always be the most costly way to purchase a ticket. Search online and you’ll surely find discounted theme park admission. However, be cautious of sites like Craigslist as there are scammers out there looking to take advantage.

One of the first questions we hear from every out of state family member or friend is are there gators in that water? Our answer is always YES! It is best to assume that every lake, pond, golfing water hazard and retention pond is home to an alligator.
