Blessings is a cute place with a lot of energy, an interesting mix of chatty regulars and quiet locals and tepid new comers. The food menu is concise but offers enough variety for many types of food sensitive consumers! They have live jazz on the weekend! It's the perfect place to sit and type away on your laptop or have a cup of coffee and enjoy a pastry while catching up with a friend.

When coming to Raku you feel as if you are going on a journey to find some of the best Udon in the city. At the front of the restaurant there is only one small window with a wooden door that when you open it you feel emerged it the great smell of Udon broth and noodles. Serving size was great, and the thick udon noodles were perfectly chewy with a nice texture.

Kotobuki is a famous Japanese restaurant from Long Island, and it has 20 years history. It doesn't only offer creative American style sushi (spicy tuna pizza), but also some authentic traditional Japanese cuisine. The ambience is cool and trendy. The servers are attentive, friendly and try their best to reassure and please the customers. The sashimi and sushi are fresh and delicious for a decent price.

It's the plaza that you don't have to worry about quality. The variety of options here is unmatched. It reminded me of the food court at Harrods in London with the same atmosphere of elegance and pace. It's just a fun experience. The different vendors all look so enticing, and it feels kind of like a culinary version of being in 1920's Selfridges

Located conveniently across the street from Bryant Park, this bakery is renowned for its crepe cakes. The service here is extremely polite and gracious - like that you'd experience at a high end hotel. Lady M is expensive at $8-9/slice, but it's extremely labor intensive compared to other cakes! The flavors and consistency here never disappoint. It has several locations in NYC, but I highly recommend this one, because you will be able to take your cake and coffee to go and eat it across the street at a table in Bryant Park on a beautiful day.

Most New Yorkers only knows cheese and chocolate fondue. It's hard to find real meat fondue here. Taureau is the only French restaurant gives you fondue combo (cheese, oil, and chocolate.) he cheese was good and really filling. Meat was good pieces and tasty, the dark chocolate fondue was amazing. The staff is extremely nice and accommodating. The atmosphere is dark and romantic.

This isn't exactly something you'd usually be able to get in most places so this was a great place for you to try. Okonomi serves traditional Japanese ichiju-sansai set meals for breakfast and lunch. Ichiju-sansai is a tranditional style of Japanese set meal. Consisting of 7-grain rice served with miso soup, roasted fish, vegetables, and an egg. Ichiju-sansai represents importanance of a healthy and balanced diet. Daily selection of fish is prepared in four different ways: Shio yaki (salt-roasted), saikyo miso (sweet miso), sake kasu (sake lees), and kombu jime (dry kelp cured). The restaurant is very small, with maybe a max of 10 - 12 seats in the entire restaurant.

Such a lovely farm-to-table restaurant in NYC! The whole experience is amazing and hearty. (Easily one of best duck I had). The visit being so unique is because their whole idea of farm-to-table, nature and balance is expressed in every way from all the decoration serials, to the tasty seasonal menu, to the lovely outdoor garden, to the friendly staff. !!!!!!Carrot fries: Was not on the restaurant week menu but was really good. Local and chill spot that I frequent with my friends. What I really love about Bluebird is how spacious it is! The front area of the bar is HUGE, then they have a nice bar space and of course we can't forget about the patio which is great on summer nights. They have an awesome selection of beers on tap and in the bottle and a wide variety of cocktails, including DIY San Pellegrino cocktail. They also have a pool table. It's $1.50 for 4 games, which is ridiculously cheap. There's also foosball. Also it's a great place to have dinner and brunch if you want some french + Asian style American Bar food. Highly recommend the double roasted wings with pineapple sauce.

Aside from the snarky "Don't Yelp me bro" warning in the menu, there's a lot to like about Tooker Alley. There's a wide range of really well thought-out cocktails, from variations on familiar ones, seasonal choices, and interesting new creations that play well with vinegar, infused syrups, and herbs like thyme. The entrance is at the Top of the Standard to the left of the hostess table. Entering the golden, pink, lush room was like stepping back in time. Mid-century modern decor with cozy fireplaces, candles, a piano, and floor to ceiling windows on three sides of the space. The views are incredible! The layout allows for many private little nooks and crannies for sitting with your group or date - cozy couches, cute cocktail tables and tiered seating to make the most of the view. The cocktails are fun and different. The bathroom is out of this world - a dark mirrored space with a floor to ceiling window - a must-see if you visit the bar. The setting feels like you are in a Doris Day movie.

Park is a work of art in itself. It is the perfect place to get lost in the wilderness. Designed by Central Park creators Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, Prospect Park is a massive playground in the center of Brooklyn. The designer fixed all of the mistakes he made in central park in Prospect Park. The area was originally forested, but became open pasture after two centuries of European colonization. Significant stands of trees remained only in the peat bogs centered south of Ninth Street and Flatbush Avenues, and in a large bog north of Ninth Avenue and contained chestnut, white poplar, and oak. Some of these stands were preserved in the Park's Ravine and have been popularized as 'The Last Forest of Brooklyn. The design formula at Prospect Park include elements of both the picturesque and the sublime ideals, the picturesque being represented by the Ravine and its series of pools, waterfalls, and defiles. All the waterways and lakes in Prospect Park are man-made.

In spring, the cherry blossoms are truly the main attraction. You get a nice view from above from the terrace, then you can go frolic in the grass between the rows of cherry trees. There are also some placed around a beautiful pond with koi. In the conservatory area, they have cacti, tropical plants, and various exhibits. When I came here, they had a nice bonsai display. Parts of the park are under construction, though, so didn't get to see some of the gardens toward the center. Overall, a nice stroll unless you really hate children. The park itself is not huge and is manageable in a few hours. I'd recommend buying tickets online beforehand so you can skip the ticket line and walk straight in. Trust me, it's worth it, especially on the weekends.

The Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden is one of the oldest and most visited Japanese-inspired gardens outside Japan. It is a blend of the ancient hill-and-pond style and the more recent stroll-garden style, in which various landscape features are gradually revealed along winding paths. The Brooklyn Museum is the museum is New York City's third largest in physical size and holds an art collection with roughly 1.5 million works. Every month, Target sponsors 'Target First Saturday'. From 5-11pm, Brooklyn Museum gives you an up-close and personal experience for free! They're unique- focusing on urban art. To be honest, some exhibits are so special, that you wouldn't see them anywhere else: The Basquiat exhibit that holds true to his LES stomping grounds and Kehinde Wiley's modern art. Though these exhibits expired, there are others, presently, that focus on diversity. Also included in the evening's itinerary, are author discussions, watch a film, see a music performance and the grand finale of them all, a DJ towards the 9 o'clock hour, on the 3rd floor spinning endless Classic House beats that'll make every cell of your body bounce, groove and sweat til you can't no more! Always check Brooklyn Museum's website to see the month's itinerary. It's a pure combination of art and dance every 1st Saturday, where they pull the most interesting exhibits, that I have not seen anywhere else.

The Cathedral Church of St John the Divine has been open in NYC since the late 1800s. The architecture is amazing and a must see when in NYC. Duke Ellington's Second Sacred Concert was performed here and there are kiosks showing how eating organic meats is more humane than how big businesses slaughter cows, pigs and chickens. What a learning experience and it broke my heart thinking about why the government allows this process. Once inside, you're surrounded by so many different visuals. Looking up at the dramatic ceiling, you can help but marvel at the intricate details. This really is a sight to behold. From the stained glass and many different rooms of the Cathedral, you can spend hours here. You haven't done it all in New York City until you make a stop and visit the Cathedral Church of St John the Divine.

This is probably the smallest museum I've been to in New York, but it was also the one that is on a scale that makes spending more time in it delightful. It was much better than most libraries, it really mixed the history of the space with the stories of the people to make it fascinating. The added galleries had two very interesting shows, one on Rembrandt with a whole slew of his drawings and an early masterpiece. It was fascinating to see the detail of these sketches and how he portrayed famous subjects, like the Crucifixion, very differently than other artists of the time. The other gallery contained Romantic artists view of Rome, one of the important stops on the Grand Tour of the 19th Century. They had a collection of Piranesi's view of the city, but sadly it was only open to one page, I wanted to see all of his etchings of the city. One other thing to note, walking over to the gift shop gives you the slightest glimpse into the original Morgan's home with the grand staircase at the original entrance. Most of us will never have such splendor in our daily lives, but it was well worth seeing as a reminder of the fabulous wealth that a few families controlled at this time. It seemed like they were setting up for several new exhibits, which would open up the museum a bit more, but even with only the permanent collection and two exhibits, this was a marvel of a space, that I enjoyed much more than a number of other museums I've visited.

Probably one of the most overlooked museums in New York City, this is actually a part of the Met Museum but I guess most tourists don't want to come out this far north of Manhattan Island. In a way that's good, because it means less crowds and more space to meander peacefully through the the grounds. You can thank the Rockefeller family for shipping an ancient european monastery brick by brick and rebuilding it here in Fort Tyron. The location is amazing and the views across the Hudson just can't be beat. I think it's also fitting that a museum dedicated to Medieval Christian and devotional art has such a peaceful location. It gives you space to be contemplative like the monks of old used to be. You'll see stained glass windows, old coverings for ancient sarcophagi for old European nobility, but what really fascinated me the most were the gardens and the pillars, the carved column capitals of these pillars. Its easy to overlook them when the beauty of the gardens hit you but if you take a closer look, you'll see they have all been painstakingly hand-carved (in stone and marble) of fantastic scenes of angels, demons, beasts and saints.

This sophisticated midtown mainstay—relocated to the elegant Vanderbilt mansion in 1928—is the ne plus ultra ladies-who-lunch shopping destination, complete with its own restaurant and an accomodating café. The stately building features eight floors of pure designer bliss, including spacious in-store boutiques from couture stars like Narciso Rodriquez, Chloe, and Jean Paul Gaultier on floors two through four—all furnished with swank, well-appointed dressing rooms complete with Central Park views. On five, younger fashion sybarites gravitate toward excellent selections of mid-priced lines like Marc by Marc Jacobs, DKNY, and Theory, and rack after rack of shoes. On the main floor, celebrity divas in dark glasses—and soon-to-be well-coiffed Upper East Side ladies en route to John Barrett's ninth floor salon—browse the extensive accessories department, with buttery leather bag upon bag from designers like Nancy Gonzalez, Chanel, and Prada.

Sleep No More is the New York City production of a site-specific, interactive work of theatre created by British theatre company Punchdrunk, based on their original 2003 London incarnation (at the Beafoy Building), their Brookline, Massachusetts 2009 collaboration with Boston's American Repertory Theatre (at the Old Lincoln School), and William Shakespeare's Macbeth. The company reinvented Sleep No More as a co-production with Emursive, and began performances on March 7, 2011. Sleep No More won the 2011 Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience and won Punchdrunk special citations at the 2011 Obie Awards for design and choreography. Sleep No More adapts the story of Macbeth, deprived of all spoken dialogue and set primarily in a dimly-lit, 1930s-era establishment called the "McKittrick Hotel": the website of which claims it has been recently "restored" but is actually a block of warehouses in Manhattan, transformed into a hotel-like performance space. Sleep No More's presentational form is considered promenade theatre, in which the audience walks at their own pace through a variety of theatrically designed rooms, as well as environmental theatre, in which the physical location, rather than being a traditional playhouse, is an imitation of the actual setting. Contrary to what some believe, Sleep No More is not any kind of haunted attraction. However, it should be noted that in their exploration, audience members can come upon instances of full nudity, and bright lights (including strobe lights), lasers, fog, and haze. The email that guests receive upon their impending experience does note that the audience might experience "intense psychological situations"

Coney Island is well known as the site of amusement parks and a seaside resort. The attractions reached a historical peak during the first half of the 20th century, declining in popularity after World War II and years of neglect. In recent years, the area has seen the opening of MCU Park stadium and has become home to the Brooklyn Cyclones minor league baseball team, as well as the opening of a new amusement park among several adjacent ones.
