Since covid, many restaurants are understaffed so please be patient with them. Many places have restricted opening hours so you may want to call first to get their hours. Reservations are recommended at most places right now, most can be made online. Also, many restaurants may be booked up buy may have limited walkin tables if you arrive early and are patient.
Its close by in the Hanalei Bay Resort. The view is spectacular. There is first class nightly entertainment. Great happy hour drinks and the food is soooo tasty

In Lihue in the Kukui Grove shopping center. This is real Hawaii!! Have the Malasadas (one won't do!). I prefer the plain but try them all. They are the best you will find on the island! Also have cakes, best apple turnovers, and lots of other bakery items.

This is a stunning hike starts just to the left of the Hyatt Poipu beach (Shipwrecks). If you want to go the whole way its 3.7 mi out and back. Its along the south coast on petrified sand dunes. Rugged beauty. Remote beaches. Google it!

I love to do my grocery shopping right at the Foodland in Princeville. Many people seek out costco or safeway but I like to support the local economy as much as possible. After all...isn't the reason we go on vacation to do things differently and become part of the local way of life. They have a great wine selection. Make fresh sushi and have a good selection of to go items at their deli. there is also a coffee shop inside the door. PLEASE BE KIND AND COURTEOUS. The hardest thing is watching impatient tourists charge around the store in a rude and demanding way!
