The venue doesn’t look like much, but offers one of the tastiest birrias in the city. What is Birria? Goat meat. Birria comes in a delicious soup or in tacos.
Tip: Order maciza (only lean meat), espinazo (backbone) and/ or surtida, a dealer’s choice mixture of different parts of the goat for more adventurous eaters. Pozole options are chicken, or pork maciza and surtida.

Built in 1884, the Moorish open-air pavilion represented Mexico at the St. Louis World’s Fair in 1902 and has been in its current location since 1910. After stroll in the park and a visit to the Geography museum, don’t miss out to the Birria el Guero (more info in our guide).

The hourly rate is about 550 pesos and fits up to 15 people, if you are alone you can try looking for other small group to break down the cost. The trip is usually 2-3 hours.
