The Centre of Visual Arts and Research (CVAR), located on Ermou Street in the heart of the walled city of Nicosia, opened in 2014. The CVAR is home to the Costas and Rita Severis collections, which include paintings, antique costumes and memorabilia related to Cyprus and its neighbours. Over 500 pieces of clothing present the development of the Cypriot dress and the influences it received from East and West. Costumes of Pashas, Governors, dervishes etc are also included in the collection. The CVAR also has a library.

take in a talk, usually on Tuesdays , also has a lovely courtyard for coffee and a bite. on one of the loveliest areas, walk around and you can find artist studios in the neighborhood. tie it in with food at 'DOT' around the corner and shopping at 'vagabond'
