Batumi Lighthouse is located in Adjara, in the city of Batumi. The first lighthouse was built here in 1863. It was a cast iron column on which a dioptric lamp was mounted. In 1882, the old building was rebuilt by French constuctors, who built an octagonal stone lighthouse and erected a small cylindrical tower on top of it, where the lighting fixture was placed. It has been directing ships entering the Black Sea for more than 150 years, with its light reaching 14 nautical miles. The lighthouse building also houses a hydrographic service where weather forecasters are on duty 24 hours a day to observe meteorological conditions. Batumi Lighthouse is a progressive example of engineering art of its time and it is one of the sights of the city. Near the lighthouse is the Ferris wheel, from where you can enjoy amazing views of the city and the vast sea.

21-meter lighthouse of Batumi port was constructed in 1882 by a Parisian company.It is an octagonal structure, made of stone and shaped like a house with the optical light equipment installed on it. The story of Batumi port lighthouse goes back to the period of Ottoman rule in Adjara – to 1863 when Ottoman division of lighthouses built the first beacon by the cape of the Turkish fortress. The second lighthouse was constructed in 1878 after Ottomans relinquished Batumi rule to the Russian Empire.

Построен маяк был в 1882 году с вполне утилитарной целью: облегчать кораблям вход и выход из городской гавани. Постепенно и порт, и маяк пришли в упадок и запустение, пока порт не перенесли в новое место, а маяк не отреставрировали в рамках обширной программы по реконструкции и восстановлению Батуми, запущенной во время президентства Саакашвили и продолжающейся по сей день.
