Sub Lhek Reservoir is counted as the largest fresh water sea of central region of Thailand. It is situated at Nikomsangtoneng. It is 16 kilometers far from Lopburi city hall on the east. Sub Lhek Reservior is an ancient reservoir. King Narai Maharaj hired French and Italian building contractors to build this reservoir and as well to connect a piping system to his royal residence. Sub Lhek Reservoir lies on 7040 aces land. In 1954, when General Por Pibulsongkram was a prime minister of Thailand, He willed to construct an earth dam to save water for agriculture.
