The Hamptons are infamous for their beautiful beaches and offer some of the best in the country, if not the world. Whether you come to the Hamptons to work or play, you will definitely spend time soaking up the sun and taking a dip. BUT, most of the Hampton beaches are private and open only to town residents. So, what is a traveler to do?! Well, you could go to.... Southampton - Cooper's Beach (lifeguard, bathrooms, showers, chair and umbrella rental) Hampton Bays - Ponquogue Beach is family-friendly (lifeguard, bathrooms, an outdoor shower, a concession stand and covered picnic tables) Village of West Hampton Dunes - Pikes Beach (lifeguard, bathrooms) Shinnecock Canal - Meschutt Beach (lifeguard, restrooms, food stand) East Hampton - Main Beach (snack bar, bathrooms and lifeguards) Georgica Beach (lifeguards, bathroom) Two Mile Hollow Beach (lifeguard, bathroom) Amagansett - Indian Wells Beach and Atlantic Avenue Beach (restrooms, a volleyball area, a concession stand and chairs for those who have physical challenges. Indian Wells also has a lifeguard) Several Montauk and Springs beaches have lifeguards, concession stands and bathrooms, including Ditch Plains Beach, East Lake Beach, Edison Beach and Maidstone Park. Ditch Plains also has a hiking trail. The two beaches in Wainscott have no amenities or parking areas. Visitors can also opt to rent kayaks, surfboards and paddle boards from outfitters in most towns. Some outfitters also offer surfing and paddle board lessons. There are some more secret spots.
