I took my youngest child to visit the museum about 3 weeks ago. Can I just say, we had a fabulous visit! It was not very crowded. We were given "passports" with our names & which class we were in. As we started, I was telling my child about the artifacts & the things we were seeing - I had also gotten her a "hearing wand" that gives a little more information. The wand can be used for children as well as adults, same information just in a more child friendly way.As we are going through one of the attendants came up to us & started talking to my daughter. Her name was Lorelei. My daughter immediately became more interested & was asking even more questions. During this time, I had a minor diabetic emergency & Lorelei went out of her way to help . We ended up having to leave the museum for a few minutes, my child was upset - Lorelei promised as soon as we came back, she'd meet back up with us & finish the tour. As soon as we came back, Lorelei was there! And we were off to finish our tour & to see if we survived our Titanic trip.Lorelei continued with us, answering every question my daughter asked & then some! She had a world of patience & shared so much. Her knowledge really made the visit much more interesting. I mean the Titanic is fascinating & the artifacts are incredible to see, but having someone tell you more details than you can just read on the placards or hear on the wand was great! The attention that Lorelei gave my daughter & me was above & beyond. Her knowledge was incredible. Her kindness was something that not enough businesses offer in terms of customer service these days. The museum is a fun way to spend a couple of hours. The artifacts are amazing to see. It is even better if you can get a guide like Lorelei to walk through with you!BTW, neither of us survived.
