A National Park next to the city. You can even go by bus. Choose bus 20 from Castellane to Luminy - best for stunning views of the Calanques or 19 to Pointe Rouge and change to 20 for Callelongue - best to be as close to sea as possible - warning: this route is more touristy

Top thing to do in marseille. better get there early in summer. For those who like walking, delightful stop 45 minuts after calelongue at "le belge", best resto-bar in marseille Le must de marseille.

If you have time to get out of the city, this a great national park for hiking and swimming.

Beautiful formation/fjords just outside of Marseilles. According to Joakim's parents who live in Cannes this place is well worth seeing.
