This is a Holocaust museum which is a little upsetting in its content. However, we should never forget this took place. The musuem is very well laid out with full audio guides in multiple languages. From the top of the building you get a full panoramic view of Mechelen on a good weather day.

Kazerne Dossin was voted as best Museum in Belgium in 2014. It is a former gathering place for jews from where they were transported to the camps. It is now transformed to a WWII museum.

Must visit if you're interested in local history, holocaust, and human rights. They also have very interesting temporary exhibitions!

If you are interested in World War 2 and the Holocaust, this is a must-visit. Very interesting museum on this topic.
