The museum recreates the atmosphere, history and struggles that Varsovians went through during World War II in the attempt to liberate their city.

This interactive museum is a deeper understanding of Warsaw's history. It was in a commemoration of an event that changed the city: the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. Listen to the records given by insurgents, go to the sewers, see the The City of Ruins, a bird's-eye view of Warsaw burnt to the ground. You can see the murals painted by Polish artists on the Wall of Art.

Warsaw is a city that raised like a Phoenix from the ashes...and the Museum of Warsaw Uprising shows in a most suggestive way the consequences of the Nazi occupation during II WW. Must see place to understand the specifics of uniqueness of the city...
