About 1.5hrs drive you will find Wolf's Lair. Wolf's Lair was Adolf Hitler's first Eastern Front military headquarters in World War II. There is a small entry fee to access but it's worth it. If you like you can also hire a private guide or just join one of many walking tours.

Wolf’s Liar, Gierłoż, Kętrzyn – around 1,5 hour drive from the cottage but if you don’t come often to the Mazurian Lakes it’s worth seeing. It was Adolf Hitler’s first Eastern Front military headquarters during the WWII. The top secret complex located in the woods. You can see the ruins of the central complex where Hitler’s bunker was located surrounded by three security zones. Price: 15PLN adult (until 26 years old) children 10PLN, children up to 6 years old free entrance, car parking 5PLN. Open from June-August Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, weekends and holidays 10am-3pm.

Hier sieht man noch Bunker aus dem 2. Weltkrieg. Führungen auf Polnisch, Deutsch und Englisch möglich. Auch ohne Führung kann man durchlaufen und besichtigen.
