Ceramic artist, Mr. Kanjiro Kawai's house / studio exhibiting his works of ceramics, wood carvings, metal works, books and other favorite goods. It is a memorial hall where you can catch a glimpse of the wonderful Japanese house designed by Mr.Kanjiro and their lives at the time.

Karl Houseから徒歩１０分。日本の陶芸家「河井寛次郎」の自宅兼仕事場が記念館として見学可。大きな「登り窯」など緊張感のある仕事は迫力満点。また日常生活の場・日用品には庶民の力強さと素朴さを同時に感じる事ができる。オススメ。

An artist famous for his products for Kyoto living. Beautiful furniture and potteries are displayed together with those of other prominent artists in Japan. 「暮しが仕事　仕事が暮し」の言葉を残した陶工・河井寬次郎のための記念館。いろんなアーティストの京都にまつわる展示も見られます。
