The River Bourne runs close by. A cosy annex only 0.7 miles from Syrencot House. A fascinating D-Day history, nestled in the beautiful Avon Valley and with views of the river across the lawn. In a small hamlet with numerous walks on Salisbury Plain, the Brigmerston Annex is hidden away down a private drive in a curve of the River Avon, surrounded by paddocks and water meadows. Codenamed ‘Broadmoor’ by the allies, the house was used by 6th Airborne Division as a planning cell for the invasion of Normandy on 6th June 1944

It is a few minutes from Thruxton circuit, just 12 miles from Stonehenge and is conveniently located for an overnight stay for anyone travelling between London and the West Country.
