This 1928 coal miner's home feels a little like going to Grandma's house. It is localed on a quiet street with pretty views from the hill behind the house. Helper's Historic downtown is an approx 1/4 mile walk to the east (down the historic staircase, under the freeway tunnel & over the swinging bridge). The town is filled with character & history. It is a great stay for a small family or a romantic getaway for a couple looking to recharge. Well-behaved pets are welcome for a small fee.

In the evening the deer come in for a snack from the apple trees. The house offers 2 bedrooms and a spacious living room. There is room in the driveway for three cars and an alley to park toy haulers or camping trailers.
