A short walk to the beach and you can enjoy beach combing, wading in the river and dining in the charming village. We're minutes away from hiking, kayaking, fishing, shopping and wine tasting in other nearby towns.

Savage Cabin- Ocean and Estuary Nature Retreat

Our 1962 cabin might be in the best location on the Oregon Coast! At the base of Cascade Head, the cabin is in the Salmon River Estuary with a view of three rocks, the Ocean, and a secret "boat access only" beach. Cascade Head is a UNESCO biosphere reserve, with most of the area protected state, federal and Nature conservancy lands. Enjoy this remote nature-lovers paradise. Fish for salmon or crab out the front door, or canoe or kayak. The cabin is up two flights of stairs, in the canopy.

French doors open up to the private patio where you can chill, bask in the sun, or sip your morning cup of Java. Comfortable queen bed and luxury linen. The Bear Creek Lodge is a two-story rustic log house with a basement that backs up to National Forest with a good road access. 3 miles from Highway 18 in the Oregon Coastal Range. Our log house is very private and relaxing nestled in the woods. Drift creek falls is nearby to have a nature hike. We enjoy hiking/biking in the forest by day and family dinners/bbq's on the wrap around deck. Take time to relax and get cozy by the fire to top off the day.
