17th Century Thatched Cottage

2 double rooms available for the price of one in our cottage at the edge of Okeford Fitzpaine village, in the heart of the Blackmore vale. With a traditional cottage garden. The cottage has a sunroom that can be used by guests with Sky TV. The 2 guest bedrooms are both doubles and decorated in a cottage style. We have a separate bathroom for guests on the first floor where the bedrooms are and you have the whole of the upstairs and sunroom to yourselves. Hotub available 1 May to 1st Sept.

The windows overlook the village duck pond and spring and pretty waterfall. There is parking, for your car, at your door. We're in a Dorset village with Trafalgar history, centuries old church, busy pub. The coast is only a couple of miles away. We are on the Dorset Coastal Path and the SSSI Jurasic Coast. £7.50 for a full Dorset breakfast. Evening meal £7 to £12.

You are welcome to stay in my home in the weeks of school holidays or at weekends (Friday and Saturday nights). If you are looking for a weekend break or visiting relatives but can’t necessarily stay with them, my home might be a good substitute for the weekend. with the added bonus that it is only 15 minutes on foot from the golden sands of Southbourne beaches! It’s only a 5 minutes walk to popular Southbourne high street, with a variety of cafes, restaurants, bars and independent shops.

The room comprises of a super king double bed. ( which can be separated into 2 3ft single beds. There is a microwave, toaster and kettle in the room and a fridge on the landing. Tea, coffee, milk are offered as are utensils and plates. There is a shared shower bathroom with 1 or 2 other guests. Toiletries and towels are provided. The Jurassic coast and sandy beach awaits. The Cornish Studio is the perfect retreat for beach living with far stretching sea views from every window and located right on the beach in West Bay in the heart of the Jurassic Coast. You can walk the cliff path for breakfast at the Hive cafe on Burton Bradstock or to the Anchor at Seatown for drinks and dinner on the cliff. Explore the coastline jump in the double kayak then back to sample the menus at Rise or The Watch House just outside your door.
