A large egress window allows natural sunlight into the bedroom on the opposite side of the wall from the kitchen/dining room/living room. It's adjacent to a city bike trail that links to the Pumpkinvine nature/bike trail. It's close to a train crossing (with whistle) and a busy street.

Stay in our studio apartment suite with private exterior door entrance. Hosts live in the rest of the house. From the backyard you can fish, kayak/canoe, paddle board, enjoy a bonfire, grill, and relax by the river. There's a king memory foam bed, sleeper sofa, and 49" TV. Remote work friendly with spacious workspace desk, fast WIFI, and coffee. The closet has a mini food prep area with mini fridge and microwave, and grill out on back patio. It's a quick 15 min drive to Notre Dame.

Whether you are on a weekend getaway, wanting to explore the lovely towns of Shipshewana & Middlebury, or in the area to enjoy a Notre Dame game the Back Porch is the perfect place for you. At the Back Porch, guests enjoy a dreamy interior with live plants and the peaceful nature out back. Guests can easily observe Amish country, the Shipshewana flea market (16 min), stroll through the beautiful quilt gardens of Middlebury (15 min), or cheer on a Notre Dame football game (40 min).

The Serenity Suite is one of two listings to accommodate guests. This suite is a 230 sq ft. tiny house studio apartment created in 2022. A kitchen island with 2 barstools is in the center of the space. This can be used as a sit down eating spot or a dedicated workspace. River Retreat

This property offers the entire lower level of our home and back yard that you will have all to yourself. We live upstairs and you have your own private entrance. There is no kitchen, but a gas grill, microwave, coffee maker and mini fridge are provided. There are large windows in the master bedroom, and the living room has two large windows in addition to a glass sliding door that opens to a private backyard with fire pit next to the Elkhart River.
