Taxes

Pursuant to Local Law #6 of 2021 any facility providing lodging on an overnight basis for greater than 14 days during any calendar year is required to register with the Genesee County Treasurer and collect bed tax as outlined in the local law. Please refer to the links below for a copy of the local law, the application for a certificate of authority, and the quarterly return form.

Other contracts and rules

It's also important to understand and abide by other contracts or rules that bind you, such as leases, condo board or co-op rules, HOA rules, or rules established by tenant organizations. Please read your lease agreement and check with your landlord if applicable.
