Mill House - Villa on Forgotten World Highway

This lovely villa was built in the early 1900’s by the McCluggage Family, who operated sawmills in the area. Their endeavors included the construction of a tunnel, in 1924, at the rear of the property to provide access to timber on the Whangamomona Saddle where it still remains today. Mill House is a fully furnished, four bedroom/one bathroom home that comfortably sleeps eight. Brand new 3-Bedroom house with off-street parking at the end of a cul-de-sac. Central location close to river walkways, speedway, hockey turf, swimming pool and supermarket. Separate toilet and bathroom with bath and shower. All three bedrooms have double or queen sized beds and the third bedroom is also set up as a workspace. There are also floor mattresses for kids. Stratford is 40 minutes from New Plymouth and 30 minutes from Hawera. It is the closest town to Taranaki Maunga.

We are situated close to main routes in Taranaki but in a small town only 15 minutes from New Plymouth. WE PROVIDE CONTINENTAL BFREAKFAST; cereal, bread for toast, spreads, butter, milk and tea & coffee,. You will need to have your own transport when staying with us as public transport is almost non-existent with only 2 buses a day. We have offroad parking. There are a lot of activities available to you including walking tracks, surfing, cycling & beautiful parks to explore.

A little bit of country

Guest room separate to the main house. Its a large studio room with en-suite. We're out in the country on a large lifestyle block, only 5mins from Inglewood which is a great little town, and 20mins from New Plymouth. Its a peaceful spot with a great view of Mt Taranaki from our garden. Our place is shared with 2 dogs (outside dogs), 3 cats (probably wouldn't see them), chickens and cattle on the farm From Sept - Oct we have lambs that are being hand fed. :-)
