My returning guests love how close we are to the city, yet you'll feel you’ve escaped it. You can get to the airport quickly, and directly access native bush walks. Our unique village hosts Wellington's best bakery and Chocolatier! Grab a bite and a beverage here or jump on a bus heading into the city.

Private studio in Island Bay

Self contained small private studio for singles or couples. Views overlooking Island Bay valley. Five minute walk downhill to the shops, cafes and a cinema nearby. A regular bus service to city and a 10 minute drive to the airport. Comfortable double bed, sink bench, microwave, bench oven, fridge, Nespresso machine, smart TV with Netflix and free WiFi. Outside areas to sit and relax. On street parking. This space is ideal for guests who prefer well-planned compact living. Hosts live upstairs.

The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse is a unique, romantic place on the South Coast. Stunning views, opposite a swimming and dog beach plus rock pools, it’s great for walks. With a comfy double bed and steep stairs, it’s private and quiet - brilliant on a sunny day, cosy in a storm. There's a fantastic cafe around the corner; shops are 10 minutes’ walk away. The main Island Bay bus stop is nearby with regular buses. It's a 9 minute drive to the airport and 15 minutes to downtown Wellington. Small dogs on request.

Compact apartment within our home and with separate entrance. Enjoy your stay in the lovely suburb of Island Bay, just 5 minutes walk to Island Bay Beach and the lovely south coast of the North Island. Walking distance to shops, cinema, cafes, parks, nature walks,bus. Come and enjoy sunset walks on the beach, our local brewery, a cosy cinema with great café and you will be spoilt for choice with lots of places to eat ethnic foods (dine in or take away). Suited for a couple or two singles.

Lyall Bay Studio

This is a studio unit under our house with own access from street. There is no outdoor space. Comfortable queen bed, electric blankets. The couch is not a bed. Washing machine/dryer, and washing powder supplies. Kitchen has hot plates, microwave and small bench top oven. Fridge and freezer. Sky TV. Open robe for storage. Ensuite has toilet, basin, shower, no bath. Unit is stylish and well designed, and in great condition. There is space for a SMALL car to park directly outside.

Cosy and convenient, this street-level studio on Wellington’s south coast is perfect for solo travellers or couples. Just steps from rugged beaches and scenic walks, it’s a 7-minute drive to the airport and 10 minutes to the CBD. Close to shops and town with good, frequent bus connections. 15min drive to airport, ideal for early-bird flights. 30min drive to ferries.

Green Apple Cabin

Beautiful quiet "tiny house" garden retreat with mezzanine sleeping loft; very simple but warm and cosy. Carpeted, insulated and double glazed. Sleeps two upstairs on two single mattresses. You need to be agile enough to climb the ladder to the sleeping loft. Own shower and toilet a few metres from the cabin. Heater, kettle, fridge, microwave, toaster and basin in cabin. Wifi. Simple breakfast ingredients and hot drinks provided.

South Coast Charm - Amazing views

Cozy south coast Wellington retreat in Island Bay. Close to the Beach House Cafe, Wellington Dive shop and Red Rocks. Spectacular sunsets and views over the Cook Straight to the South Island. A perfect location for the adventurous or those looking for a peaceful break. This is where Wellingtonians come to take photos of the ocean and brunch at the Beach House Cafe, or go for a walk or hike round the Red Rocks tracks.

Peace and quiet in the Brooklyn hills

Welcome to a private sleepout nestled high in the Brooklyn hills above Wellington. For solitude it's unbeatable! Grand view north over Brooklyn rooftops to Mount Tinakori. There is wi fi, and Brooklyn's fine eating establishments just a one minute stroll away. Well connected to the CBD either by bus or a leisurely walk through Central Park into town. No pets allowed. Please note cooking facilities are limited.
