nice little cottage in Dark Harbor, near to everything. queen bed, so sleeps up to two in a quiet location for short or medium term stays. most reasonable amenities provided; hiking or social recommendations are available on request. (Wi-Fi speed excellent, though I was not able to use AirB&B's official Wi-Fi measurement option.) *Please be aware, we are on an island, which must be accessed by boat or ferry, so service can be interrupted. there's a gym at the Community Center, $10/day pass.

"The Lair" Guesthouse

"The Lair" is a just recently renovated small 200 square foot cabin with vaulted ceilings and plenty of natural sunlight. The building is located close to Green Tree Coffee and Tea, a coffee roaster, so the aroma of coffee will be in the air. We located about 400 yards South of the Islesboro Ferry and Lincolnville Beach and 2.4 milres North of Camden Hills State Park and Mount Battie. Free coffee and tea everyday, all day! We are closed for Winter, will re-open Mid-April. Thank you.

Located at the end of a mile long, private road, this guest house is situated right on the shorefront on West Penobscot Bay. It shares a driveway that accesses this cottage and the owner’s home. Watch sailboats and eagles from the front porch. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves.

Snow Sweet at The Appleton Retreat is very private, check out the Trail Map. This contemporary yurt faces the Field of Dreams and has a nice view of Appleton Ridge. It features a private therapeutic hot tub on the deck, a fire pit, and fast wifi. The Appleton Retreat encompasses 120 acres hosting six unique retreats. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.

This elegant and comfortable apartment in situated in an antique post & beam barn that sits perched above rolling fields and vegetable gardens looking out over the Penobscot Bay. From the porch, guests can watch the local lobsterman pick up traps and see schooners weaving through the islands. The apartment sits over Salt Water Farm Cooking School, a small recreational cooking school for home cooks.

Set on a dead end street in a quite neighborhood it is easy to connect with nature either in the hammock, on the lawn or on the beach. The screened in porch has a great view of the bay to watch the sunrise or sunset. We can put you in touch with a local fisherman for some fresh lobster or mussels.

Named after a local cove on Penobscot Bay, this cabin is similar to the real Saturday Cove as its tucked against the woods and nice and cozy. The Cabins of The Anchorage have been a Lincolville fixture for over 100yrs. Recently purchased and remodeled, Cabin 11 is complete with an elevated porch, air conditioning and a Keurig with complimentary coffee pods.
