Secluded small farm house nestled in among maple, apple and pine trees. Lots of parking for trailers and guests. Wood burning Sauna on property. Just a short walk down the hill is our Private rock beach On Lake Superior with a fire pit to get cozy and watch the sunset. The main cabin also has a fire pit for your enjoyment. This is a quiet place with whitetail deer being the only thing to come and visit. Occasionally you’ll see bald eagles fly overhead looking for their dinner. Walking trails.

Take it easy at this peaceful waterfront getaway. Located at the south entry of the Portage canal, this is the place to unwind and relax with access to the canal and Lake Superior. Clean, comfy home with two bedrooms and a sofa sleeper. New bath with walk in shower. Full kitchen, traeger grill, and abundant outdoor spaces. Dock on the property and the boat launch is close by. White City beach close as well. Firepit, kayaks and a spacious work desk area with WIFI. 29 miles from Houghton.

Located on Portage Lake in Chassell, MI, near Houghton with quick access to Michigan Tech University, this rustic family cabin is a great place for either an overnight stay or a longer getaway. It provides a great home base for travel in the Keweenaw peninsula! As a 1930s cabin with a sauna on the lake along with a great view, the focus is on the experience! We find guests who truly enjoy our place are flexible with rustic conditions (not looking for Holiday Inn Express) and young at heart!

Bicycles are available as well as kayaks! Comfortably sleep 2 in the queen bed. Full size futon & cot also. Things to do are endless!

With plenty of parking, ample outdoor space, and a cozy feel, you'll have all the amenities of home, with all the privacy of the woods. Located just a few minutes from Lake Superior and downtown L'Anse. Great central location between the Keweenaw Peninsula, Marquette, and the Porcupine Mountains. UP Snowmobile trail#14 runs feet from the end of the driveway, combining easy trail access with a secluded tiny home feel.

The setting is active and social—perfect for guests looking to explore the Keweenaw. We live next door and are happy to help if needed!

This Lake Superior authentic 1957 cottage is what U.P. vacation dreams are made of! Kayak or canoe along the shoreline (262' of private shoreline) with the soaring eagles above you. Enjoy the water view from the screened front porch or a lakeside fire. Relax in the authentic wood burning Finnish sauna after a day of outdoor fun. For cold nights there is an indoor wood burning fireplace. Each bedroom has a new foam mattress, pillows & bedding for a truly peaceful rest.

The Beach House

Beautiful year round beach house. This tiny house is located on Second Sand Beach. Guests will enjoy an all sand beach on Lake Superior. It is 8 miles from the town of L’Anse, and a 40 minute drive to Houghton. Cross country ski trails, snowmobile trails, hiking trails, and ORV trails are minutes away. Participate in the many summer and winter fishing tournaments in the area or relax and unwind on the private beach. A boat launch area is a short walk down the beach.

LayZ Acres Slate Camp

This is a peaceful grassy retreat in the heart of Upper Michigan. Recharge in this relaxing country setting in a Rustic 12 X 16 Cabin. You will also have access to our full size kitchen, bath house and outdoor shower. The cabin has a private 1/2 bath. Frequent sightings of deer, turkeys and other wildlife among the many fruit and berry trees are common in the camps. Other Camps on property: Quartzite Camp, Yooperlite Camp, Sandstone Camp and Granite Camp.

Log Cabin on the Ravine River

Relax with friends and family at this peaceful cozy cabin. A perfect 4 seasons cabin on a the ravine river. Enjoy steelhead trout fishing, walking in the woods, winter sports ect. Near Lake Superior. Finn’s bar and grill, and huron bay trading post for groceries and gas. We are a fully furnished cabin with a queen sized bed, full size bed and a twin, with a large sofa and a newer love seat.
