Beautiful Restored Barn -The Old Stables

The Old stables is part of the original estate of Cary Fitzpaine. Although the setting is rural, we are a short way from A37 (.5 mile) and A303 (1.5 miles) which makes us very accessible to other amenities/attractions. The property is self contained and private, with a contained garden. The owners live nearby and are happy for guests to walk around the farm, and are also on hand if required. We are in easy reach of many National Trust properties, Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm & Haynes Car Museums.

Myrtle cottage is a modern, dedicated living space annexed to our 17th century thatched cottage. Pitney itself is a delightful small village situated above The Levels. There is a traditional pub serving real ales, local ciders and great home cooked food and the superb Pitney Farm shop offering organic meat and veg from the mixed farm & market garden. The area offers lovely walks directly from our garden up into the hills at High Ham or down on to The Levels and the river Carey.

Hillview

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay.Located off the beaten track and down a quiet country lane, Hillview is a comfortable and well-appointed bungalow, perfectly situated for exploring the Somerset Levels and Moors and the delights of this magical county. Hillview is situated in Martock and offers a garden/barbecue facilities. Guests benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. Electric vehicle charging NOT available.

Venturing further afield you can spend the day on the Jurassic Coast or visit some of the many National Trust properties in the area.

Romantic barn conversion in Somerset

This romantic place to stay offers a history all its own. It’s a converted barn (formerly an architects studio) which forms part of a scheduled ancient monument set in beautiful old orchards. The site has an unusual history - the monks from the adjacent Abbey used to give out alms in the 15th century from the Barn. Our village still contains part of the Abbey opposite us, as well as the Grade 1 listed Priests House and church.
