Historic local market that still retains the characteristics of 50 years ago. Here you can find typical Roman products, such as fresh artichokes or wild asparagus and taste them directly in the many taverns and bars that surround the square. In the evening, enjoy a nice aperitif at the foot of the statue of the great Giordano Bruno! It is now a Roman custom to quickly make friends with your neighbor!

Via del Corso was redefined by the Romans as the shopping street of Rome. It is a straight line full of shops, souvenirs, street vendors, but also churches, monuments, banks, organizations and important political institutions. One and a half kilometers long, it connects Piazza del Popolo with Piazza Venezia. Not just shopping, but also art, culture and politics. THE WAY OF SHOPPING In reality, speaking only of one street is an understatement since an unspecified number of alleys and streets branch off from Via del Corso, which are also full of interesting, beautiful and sometimes very expensive shops. This is the case of the so famous, especially among Americans and the rich of the world, via dei Condotti. It is a street full of high fashion, beautiful and elegant boutiques, where you can find the very best of Italian and international brands. Just by way of example we mention Dolce & Gabbana, Salvatore Ferragamo, Louis Vuiton, Valentino, Laura Biagiotti, Prada, Gucci, Zagna, Tod's. ( From our apartment it is easily reachable by taking the underground line C from the Pigneto stop for 8 stops to the Piazza di Spagna metro stop immediately after you reach via del Corso on foot is very close. )

Piazza del Popolo (photo above) is one of the most beautiful urban antechambers in the world, located at the top of a triangle of streets called del Tridente (via del Babuino - via del Corso - via di Ripetta), and is the most excellent access to the heart From Rome. The door, through which you enter this "living room", is the ancient Porta Flaminia of the Aurelian Walls, so called because the ancient Via Flaminia exited from here, which started from the Fontinalis gate of the Servian Walls and headed towards the bridge Milvio. It should be remembered that in the Augustan period the urban stretch of the Via Flaminia was called "via Lata" (current Via del Corso), while already in the Middle Ages the stretch that from Porta Fontinalis reached the height of the current Piazza Colonna was called "via Lata" , while the rest, upstream and beyond the Porta del Popolo, was the Via Flaminia which today begins after the gate. ( from our apartment it can be easily reached by taking the Pigneto underground line C for 9 stops. )

Parks & Nature

Roma Tiburtina station is a railway station in Rome, managed by Grandi Stazioni, located on the line to Florence, at the confluence of the Pietralata, Nomentano and Tiburtino districts. In 2011 it was dedicated to Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour, as part of the ceremonies for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy. With over 500 trains per day, 150,000 daily transits and about 55 million passengers per year [1] [2] it is the second and sixth station in Rome. It is served by all long-distance trains passing north-south, which do not stop at Roma Termini, and by the regional lines FL1 and is the terminus of the FL2 and FL3. In the same complex there is the homonymous station of the line B of the Rome underground. A little further on from the station square is the Tibus bus station, a modern terminal for arrivals and departures of medium and long-distance buses for both Italy and abroad. Furthermore, the station square acts as the terminus of numerous bus lines that connect it with the Pietralata, Tiburtino, Casal Bertone districts and the city center. Thanks to the construction of a new station, Tiburtina is destined to become the main Roman airport and high-speed hub.
