Having run a restaurant in Takanawa, Tokyo for 13 years, and with experience in top European kitchens, owner chef Shoko Davis is a fabulous cook, and Yakushima offers some wonderful fresh local ingredients to work her magic with. There's a really good wine list too.

Seibu-Rindo
Drive, ride, run, walk - the Seibu Rindo is a highlight, whatever the weather.
It looks beautiful but it is a long and tough hike - 7 hours there and back, from the car park at Senpiro. Worth it for the views, just maybe not on a windy day.
