Great park for fishing, sightseeing, kids, playground, Movies on Saturday nights, Concerts on Thursday nights. Walkable. If you do walk over the bridge to get there you can take the wooden walkway just over the big bridge for a scenic walk over the marshland.

Fun frisbee disc golf course nearby. 9 hole course that could be played with regular frisbees or regulation discs. Mostly shaded. I would avoid in the late evenings to reduce the mosquitos and "no-see-ums".

The new bridge creates easy access to the island from the Bahama Mama. The bridge has a separate pedestrian lane which creates a safe, wide lane for walking, running, and bicycling. A concrete barrier keeps cars safely away from the pedestrian lane. From the Bahama Mama it is about a 20-minute walk across the bridge to the beach. It is a popular activity for families, couples, and serious runners. Enjoy the exercise, views, and socializing with others.
