Ulverston, a small market town located close to Morecambe Bay has lots of quirky shops plus a good selection of cafes and pubs/restaurants. On the outskirts of Ulverston, Conishead Priory is a buddhist centre with a superb cafe and access to their woods and the beach.
Bardsea beach has plenty of parking and, in warm weather, an ice cream van, Roy's Ices, with great views over the Bay
