Bush walk destination
From Blue Pool you can walk up to the Peregrine Lookout which surveys the serpentine curves of the river from a cliff edge high above. You can continue on along the cliff top and walk the lush Ferny valley down to a crossing and loop walk back to the car park via the road and bush tracks.
From the lookout you can loop back via the fairy dell also.

Bike riding opportunity
The Gippsland Rail Trail follows the old railway line from Stratford to Maffra on to Tinamba through to Tralagon. It’s possible to connect with the Tralagon Rail service to be transported back to Stratford Ian’s complete a circuit. The Tail Trail features the typical flora of the Gippsland Plains and is home to fabulous wildflower displays in their season.
