Enniscrone has the best beach in Ireland, where you can have long walks along the beach and the coast. Many surfing schools operate out of here. The peer is enjoyed by walkers, fishermen and energetic children jumping into the sea. There is always something happening on the beach. There are lots of eating places in Enniscrone offering sit down, take away or make your own . It makes for a great long day out.

Achill offers full days out with lots of natural entertainment from swimming, sightseeing, cycling, hill walking and just sitting and enjoying the view. This island is so popular, that when the weather gets hot, they sometimes have to close it off to incoming traffic. So if you are going there, go early.

Newport is a small old town that is on the wild Altlantic way cycle route. It offers short walks around the coast again with beautiful scenery. There are lots of mall features to discover as you walk around the coast, all untouched with time. It is well worth stopping here for a cuppa.
The drive from Crossmolina to Newport is dramatic and stunning as the countryside changes colour and texture along the route.
