This is a destination you cannot miss. Chiapa de Corzo is known as the oldest city in Latin America since it was founded in 1528, the fountain marvels to everyone because of its architectonic beauty. Enjoy delicious raspado de plátano y vainilla (like a banana smoothie but with more ice). Go shopping, you can find handcraft there, the local people even sell the regional Chiapaneca dress.

San Cristobal is a place where you surely would love to spend the whole day, or even stay some days, and it's only an hour and fifty min. from Tuxtla. The weather is usually cool about 18 °C, you can find international food there and there is a craft market. Roam the streets and eat the treat you will find in every corner. You can also visit the candy market typical sweet you'll love, go to Rancho nuevo and ride a horse or have a picnic there. At night enjoy coffee or wine in beautiful restaurants with live music - a must-visit!
