The statue
The statue in the middle of the Square it is a gift from the contemporary artist Talani to the city of Florence, Is called “ Fiorenza” and represent Florence as a strong and proud woman. The statue turns its gaze towards the center of Florence in particular towards the Duomo. The statue is a symbol that represents the districts of Florence which are not only the Duomo or Piazza della Signoria but many small neighborhoods just like San Jacopino.
