Brand new bar very close by, very small, very cute, reminds me more of a soda fountain / candy store than a bar.

Really nice candle lit bar, great bread and desserts, their pasta and stuff isn't as great as you would expect for the prices there.

Maybe the nicest restaurant near by in terms of interior space and the pizza's are very good and authentic but too expensive.

Not that close but I go out of my way to go to this place for the best home style latin comfort food at very reasonable prices, welcoming atmosphere and a great happy hour as well.

Not bad for cheap sushi. I think it's a little better than the other one on Nostrand that has the exact same menu. Fast delivery!

Nice little park with big old trees and a very short walk from the apartment. This is as far east as you would want to go, the area is not so nice just one block beyond that.

Live jazz every week and reasonable cover, I haven't been yet but it definitely looks like a very mature crowd.
