Cueva del Chango is great for just about any meal, there is also a great vegan/ vegetarian menu. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is truly one of a kind. The restaurant itself is traditionally designed and nestled right in the middle of the jungle reserve and a cenote. If you are there at the right time you may even spot a monkey swinging from tree to tree!

Trujillos is a favorite date night spot and a great place to bring a group of friends to enjoy family style dining. We love the atmosphere, the food and the cocktails are superb.

Choux Choux is a vibe! Great breakfast/ brunch spot and good coffee! We love the shakerato espresso drink and the Gringo dish.
*There is also Petit Choux which is right around the corner from Siaan Playa on 5th ave y 56th. (for some reason it is not listed on google yet, so take this as a local secret ;) ).
Petit Choux is a more intimate version of Choux Choux. Same menu, similar vibes just closer to home!

Ojo De Agua is not to be missed.... literally. It is right below Siaan Playa and attached to the building you are staying in. Ojo is an excellent spot for coffee, juices, breakfast and/or lunch. Check it out!

How to catch a taxi and negotiate price
We recommend walking up CTM to 10th to catch a taxi. Prices are better here and there are more taxi's in this area.
Local tip: When catching a taxi here, let the driver know the direction of where you would like to go, and then ask how much ("cuanto?") before you sit in the car and take off.
This will confirm the price and leave you with no surprises. You can also try negotiating the price if it seems to be too much.
Typically the taxi rate is anywhere from $50-$100 pesos to taxi near by. This always depends!
