Barry island train station is the closest to you,
Cheap and cheerful, I believe there are 4 trains an hour, going into cardiff city centre, home of the principality stadium, cardiff city football club and take a short trip over to the bay to see out stunning wales national opera house, not done, how about a trip to cardiff castle 😀
