This Park has been open forever. The home of the Lieutenant Governor of PEI is here. Walk the boardwalk, visit the Kiwanis Ice Cream Shop, let your children swim in the life guarded pool or play in the state of the art playground…all with the best view of the Hillsborough Harbour. Locals walk their pups and run the boardwalk on their lunch breaks and in the evening. Lovers Lane used to be the best place to go parking 😘(smooching with your honey).

This is where the locals go to hang out when they need some sun. Brackley is connected to Stanhope and Dalvay, also lovely spots to bike and hike trails. The teenagers jump off the Stanhope wharf while tourists stand in line at the much loved Richards Seafood. Ahh summer in PEI.

While you are up Souris way, check out this neat museum. The beach beside the museum is famous world wide for its sand. It sings while you walk. The swishing sound is due to the silica in the sand. There’s also a bridge that the wilder islanders like to jump off of…the current carries you out to the beach. We wouldn’t recommend this for the faint of heart though. Sometimes the more cautious conservation officers shut the bridge-jumping down.
