Small indigenous village just 13 miles north of Tarapoto in an isolated coffee & cocoa producing area. Lamas sits up high, and is often fresh and cool. The people here are known as the Lamistas, and speak a mixture of Quechua and other jungle dialects. Check out their museum. (see also Lamas Castle)
