This a uniquely old cafe, where one can check out all the colorful local characters who live nearby. Weekend brunch is excellent! Cook Rainbow and her staff do a very good job. They serve a Thursday night dinner (w/music). They were voted one of the 25 best brunch places in Colorado! LIve music happens every MWThFS evening.

Food Scene
Marrocco's is about 20 min away in Lefthand Canyon. They serve homemade Italian food that is outstanding. A simple small building (that serves occasionally as a local church) with wooden floors, they are a gem. Wine & beer too.

This is another small mountain hideaway about 20 min drive west of our house. The drive is spectacular, with views of the Indian Peaks, in the quaint village of Allenspark filled with cabin getaways. They serve excellent pizza, salads, beer and wine. On Sundays there is live music.

357 Ski Rd EThis is another small mountain hideaway about 20 min drive west of our house. The drive is spectacular, with views of the Indian Peaks, in the quaint village of Allenspark filled with cabin getaways. They serve excellent pizza, salads, beer and wine. On Sundays there is live music.
Another Allenspark restaurant, The Fawn Brook Inn is noted for (expensive) but delicious romantic meals in a turn of the century small inn. Service is excellent, as is the menu.

McGuckins Hardware (located on Folsom St & Canyon Blvd), has everything you need for home improvements, office, repairs, school supplies. Been there forever! Very good customer service. A little more expensive than Target but they have everything!

Nederland is at the top of Boulder Canyon, and about 35 min from Jamestown on the Peak to Peak Highway. There are shops, bars, a wonderful carousel ($1, and you can't help smiling!), nice views getting there. It's about 8000' elevation which makes is somewhat unique and used to be a wild frontier town in the mining days.

The Chautauqua Hall showcases music of all kinds, symphonies, plays in one of the oldest chautauqua theatres in the country. There is also the Chautauqua Dining Hall that serves excellent food on site (reservations recommended). It sits overlooking the beautiful Chautauqua meadow at the base of the landmark, "the Flatirons", steep rock faces that lie at the western edge of Boulder.
