Food Scene

Hole-in-the-wall burger spot in Mt Adams. Very inconspicuous, make sure you don't walk past it! For the price, it's hard to beat the Big Ted burger and the view of downtown is amazing. Great place to relax after a busy day and enjoy a few drinks.

Cute coffee shop in the center of Mt Adams. It's a nice walk from the apartment (5 min) and the coffee is great. If the weather's nice, make sure you sit outside at one of the tables and enjoy the sights and sounds of Mt Adams.

We hardly eat out in Cincinnati because the food at Findlay is so good. Here's a quick rundown: -Kosher dill pickles from Gibbs Cheese -Different types of flavored bacon from Bender Meats -Amazing cheeses and salami from Silverglade's -Freshly made goetta (Cincinnati sausage) from Eckerlin Meats -Chocolate bars from Maverick Chocolate (try the espresso variety!) -Pastries from Blue Oven Bakery (only on the weekend) -Fresh produce, Brown Cow yogurt, and Madisono's Black Raspberry and Dark Chocolate gelato from Madison's Market -I saved the best for last: Samosas from Dean's Mediterranean Imports. Only $2.50 and melt in your mouth every time. I prefer going during the week when it's not so busy and you can take your time. Though it's on every tourist guide to the city, Findlay is still underrated and the only absolute must-see in Cincinnati.

The first bridge over the Ohio River, this was the largest suspension bridge in the world when it was built. Cincinnati's most impressive and enduring piece of architecture. Make sure to take a walk over the bridge.

Stunning mansions along the Ohio and Licking Rivers. Start on Riverside and go as far north as 8th St, everything east of Sanford. This area was almost demolished post-WWII for condos, but thankfully survived.

Parks & Nature

Walking trails and amazing overlooks, especially on Lake and Cliff Dr. Make sure you take the walking path that begins at the intersection of Martin and Eden Park Dr. It wraps around Eden Park Dr., giving you an up-close look at the old reservoir walls and abandoned pump station. Finishes by Mirror Lake.

Cincinnati's newest and most engaging park. Tons of activities for kids, especially next to the suspension bridge. There's a bike/pedestrian path that runs from the Bengals stadium east along the river about 2 miles. After Smale, you will go through Yeatman's Cove, Sawyer Point and the International Friendship Park. It's all worth seeing and not very crowded, especially after Yeatman's Cove.

Admission is free (Tuesday - Sunday, 11 am - 5 pm) and the museum alone is worth the visit, not to mention the artwork. Make sure you peek your head in the courtyard in the center of the museum. For people interested in Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Wing is a great tour of the city's most famous artists and craftsmen.

Home to FC Cincinnati, Cincinnati's super popular soccer club. The season runs from late March to October. Played in historic Nippert Stadium (the University of Cincinnati's football stadium), games are entertaining and the crowd is great. Make sure you get a seat in the Bailey for the full fan experience.
