Parks & Nature

Deer Hollow Farm is about a mile in, and has goats, two cos, chickens, bunnies, sheep and an extremely entertaining heard of goats. In the spring and summer there are baby animals. The hike up to the High Meadow trail is strenuous but worth it - on a clear day, you have a panoramic view of the Silicon Valley, from San Francisco, to the East Bay, and down to Cupertino and points south. If you are lucky, you will see the flock of wild turkeys, and many deer. There is also the third largest Bay Laurel tree in North America.

The weird looking spires are the result of wind erosion on limestones. Hiking that can be long and a little precarious, but worth the effort for the views, the geographic features and the occasional California Condor (they're as ugly as they look in the photos).
