Food Scene

The location is close to home, excellent food and if you are just having a coffee, try the licorice bread. It is open at nights and open on weekends for breakfast and lunch.

This restaurant has a great menu, if you don't mind the noise, try to get a table outside. I recommend this restaurant.

Arts & Culture

This gallery displays works from contemporary Chinese artists, always something interesting with a fantastic library on the top floor and a tea room on the ground floor. This gallery is in an area you may explore early Australian settlement houses ( old homes ), close to a beautiful bakery, Brickfields - on the corner of Cleveland Street and Balfour Street, near the White Rabbit Gallery. Close to here, you may be interested in seeing the worlds tallest vertical garden with Australia native plants : Sited on a building facade in the city centre: One Central Park Broadway, Ultimo, Sydney.

Essentials

I think the fruit and vegetables are more fresh than those available from a supermarket.

Entertainment & Activities

This is a little place, very informal with various acts, whether comedy or story telling, and tickets are very cheap ( approximately $20.00 ). If you have nothing planned and want to do something, check out what's on.

Parks & Nature

This is my favourite park in Sydney. It is in my street, so you can't miss it. Lilies grow in the pond and there are many Quoi fish, and at night if you cross the road to the steps of Elizabeth Bay House, you can view the harbour.

Shopping

Oxford street has the longest stretch of stores starting from Darlinghurst , through Paddington and Woollahra. If you continue from Oxford Street turning into Queen Street Woollahra, there is another shopping area here with antique stores and more fashion. This area has a village atmosphere, and checkout Victor Churchill Meat store. When it opened a few years ago, it was the most expensively fitted out store in Australia. The window displays are very quirky the door handle is a chain of sausages.
