If you like ribs, pulled pork and other stuff that´s good for the soul (but bad for your heart), then this is where you want to go. The best ribs I´ve had in Mexico, by far and the pulled pork was exquisite. the fried broccoli was so-so.

Once in a while, you happen those restaurants that have a simple, unpretentious, yet exceptionally well executed vibe about them. Where as soon as you walk in, you know you are going to get a superlative meal and an all round experience to remember. Maximo is one of those restaurants. Simple wooden chairs and tables, white walls, funky mid-century light...

Great place to eat breakfast or lunch, very reasonably priced bike themed place, if you like spicy salsa, order anything with red salsa, it is really good!

This is a great steak place in the Roma area. Very reasonably priced and high quality meat, I have gone there three times and walked away very happy each time. I've gotten the arranchera and the special, expensive corte 7 (a splurge, but worth it. super tasty).

It is totally hipster as well as its crowd. The food is great with innovative dishes. It is definitely worth visiting and the Mexican cuisine here excels but don't expect complex culinary dishes-they're quite basic: tacos, tortas and quesadillas...beans, cheese, sauces and meat are part of most dishes. Go for the tacos Parnita, the torta Parnita too.

Very good pizza and, believe it or not, hotdogs. Great music and a lively crowd. Drinks were good and stronger than most places in Mexico City.

Metro Hospital General station
Around 4 blocks away from the apartment, not the best choice if you are carrying a lot of luggage.
You will need to buy a prepaid card in order to ride the Metrobus, each trip costs less than .50 USD and you can travel as far as you like paying once as long as you don´t leave the station.
